Up & down arrow no longer operates on track volume

Hi guys

I wanna change the track volume with my up & down arrow.

This function had been great on cubase 12, but steinberg deleted it.

It doesn’t work anymore when I push my up & down arrow after double click my track volume. I need it.

What can I do to use up & down arrow to change my track volume?

Well, they didn’t delete it as far as I can see. For this type of thing your system details and Cubase version are needed for your report or question to be meaningful

This function is alive on cubase 12 pro. but it was deleted now on cubase 15 pro.

I have been using cubase 15.0.6 trial on M1 MBP 16 & macOS sequoia

I cannot change my track volume with keyboard arrow on the project window. the number of volume is not changed.

I apologize. I didn’t fully read your initial post, and I can confirm it on my Windows system.

Looks like a regression involving certain value fields, but not others. I remember having reported this waaay back in C13 days and the regression wasn’t ever de-regressed, heh…

Maybe I can find what I said back then, but I just had to find other ways to deal with it – I am extremely keyboard focused, and love to use the mouse as little as possible, but the trend in the sequencer has indeed been to require more mousing apparently.

Couldn’t find a workaround other than using both hands, and I guess I’ve changed my habits, as I think about it in the moment.

Is it difficult to fix?

It is not possible?

I wouldn’t know how difficult it might be. I doubt we will see much movement on this. They did reverse the regreession for some fields, see this post.

Well, the whole mix console was a regression with C13, as SB completely removed the functionality to move and edit with cursor/tab keys, and it doesn’t look like they will ever fix that again… but while some people reported and complained, apparently not many people overall used the keyboard that much in the miser. Pity, really, as like you I really prefer keeping my hands on the keyboards as much as possible…
