Update from AI/LE to elements 13

Hi.
I have a copy of Cubase AI 11 on one computer and LE 11 on one computer that i do not use at all as I have C13 artist.
I want to update one of them to Cubase elements 13 and give to my son.
Can I update without having my code from my soft e-licencer?
Can I transfer the license to my sons account?
Both he and I use windows.

Hi,

First, I would recommend you to update to Cubase AI 13 and Cubase LE 13. To do so, get in touch with your local support.

Then your license sits in the new system: Steinberg Activation Manager. Then you can update the license. Then you can use the license on up to 3 computers, or you can ask your local support to transfer your new Cubase Elements 13 license to another (your son’s) MySteinberg account.
