I have Cubase 9.5 on my old MacBook Pro which now is getting slow, and I wonder how I proceed to upgrade to Cubase 11 on my MacBook Air with BigSur.

Hi and welcome,

Install Cubase 11 on your new computer and activate the upgrade.

If you want to migrate your Cubase 9.5 preferences, use the Profile Manager to do so or copy (and rename) Cubase preferences folder from the old computer to the new one.

Cubase Preferences folders are:
Mac: ~/Library/Preferences/Cubase X
Win: %appData% Steinberg/Cubase X\_64

But the preferences folder doesn’t include all settings. The Profile Manager includes more.
