Update on my experience with Cubase 12

I tried running Cubase 12 again today, after my not-so-fun first encounter when it was first released. Cubase 12.0.20 is great, it has lot of features and installing it didn’t affect anything or any other programs this time. The license worked great. But alas, I cannot run it because no matter how I adjusted ASIO Guard, the CPU meter would soar out of nowhere and cause Cubase to stop playing. I set the latency high, I set it low. Same eratic CPU behavior. And this is not with a lot of plugins or instruments. I even tried changing the streaming settings in HALion 6. Didn’t matter. I suppose for my 2017 2.7 i7 Quadcore MacBook Pro, Cubase 11 and Nuendo 11 will have to do for now. I get my new M1 MacBook Pro supposedly in the beginning of July, so I will revisit C12 again and write an update on how that plays out. Peace.

Hi,

Are you on the latest Cubase 12.0.20, please?
