A lot of music fonts have a “text” version combined with it, that is supposed to be used as the “Default Music Text Font” (in Font Styles). When I switch on “Update text fonts when changing music fonts” in the Music Fonts dialog, only the default text fonts will change in Font Styles and Paragraph Styles, with exception of Bravura and Petaluma, where also the “Default Music Text Font” changes.
Is this a problem of Dorico or the fonts? Would be nice, if this could be included as well.
(I tried this mainly with all the MTF fonts and the handwritten fonts of Norfonts).
I’m on Win 11, if this matters …
It may depend on your Paragraph Styles.
Dorico changes the Default Text style, and any style that has this style as a Parent.
If your Paragraph Style doesn’t use Default Text as its Parent; or the Font has been overridden, then it won’t change.

The “Default Music Text Font” is a Font Style and not a Paragraph Style and has no parent style.
Ah. You’re right that the Music Text font doesn’t get changed.
This is something that would need to be addressed in Dorico, rather than the font.
