would anyone know if it’s possible to update the trial version of C5 to the current release?

No, you have to buy Cubase 5 first. If you do this before February 28 2011 you can obtain a Grace Period update to Cubase 6.

Thanx Renee, I finally dowloaded the 5.5.2 update and managed to update the trial version. I’ll test it intensively
these days and if all my projects work fine, i’ll upgrade to C5 and enter the C6 grace period. I might switch to C6
when i make the leap for Win7 64.
