Upgrade 6.5 to 7 within grace period

How do I get the free upgrade to C7 from 6.5 when 6.5 was a new purchase that was within the grace period?

Ok my elicenser automatically upgraded me to the C7 license since I was within the grace period but when I entered that license number on the Steinberg site it says I am ineligible for the upgrade. What do I do now?

Usually the site then gives you the downloadlink for the GP update, which you then download.
If not, you can find a full installer from the download page.

Ok I downloaded and installed the core C7 from the downloads link. Cubase opens but immediately shuts down when I select either a previous project from C6.5 or a new template. Anyone else have this problem?
