Upgrade from 9.5 to V10 advice please

Hi

Having never done an upgrade before I was wondering what exactly happens, currently the download assistant is downloading a Pro10.0.5 full version I was sort of expecting it just to be an upgrade?

So what exactly happens to my existing 9.5 do I just over write it or does the down load extract what it needs to do the upgrade? Sorry if this sounds like a dumb question but I do not know what the answer is.

Hi and welcome,

Cubase 9.5 and Cubase 10 are two separated executables. So you can leave installed both side by side. The content is installed only once and shared (so no worry of double - big - content).
