just spend $300 on an up grade from Cubase 5 to Cubase 10…
The authentication of the up grade dose not recognize the Cubase 5 license in the 9 years old usb e license.
Any idea whats going on?
Are you sure that it is actually a Cubase 5 license that is on the USB eLicense dongle and not a lesser Cubase version?
If so, try updating the eLCC software and run the maintenance as administrator.

I was about to do the same, but before buy it I was installing my original Cubase 5 to my new Mac… Fortunately I did try it before buy the upgrade, because this version of Cubase is not compatible anymore with new OS… So I guess I would have to buy the complete software again, but I wouldn’t, if so I will change software even if Cubase is the best for me, but not fair like this…
