hello, Ive just bought the upgrade from 10.5 to 15 pro ( which wasnt cheap!) but the download assistant tells me I dont have a qualifying license… Ive registered my elicencer dongle thingy in my account, which seems fine , but when I try to register the other “soft” elicener which is showing in the E licenser control center, a message says it’s registered to another user…( idon’t really fully understand why there is a soft e licener btw but anyway, )but could my problem be that Ive recently had to have a new hard drive fitted and the soft e licenser is tied somehow to that drive?… also the re are no PCs showing in the licensed devices section of my account…is that a clue maybe?? to add to my woes, I have two accounts with steinberg which is complicating matters even more!… My old cubase 10.5 is working ok, I dont understand why if I dont have the correct license? …Ive read all the blurb about the end of the dongle but I’m still at a loss. any experts out there that could talk an aging technophobe through this quagmire?… Thanks
Just log into your Steinberg account under the email you have the previous version registered. You can enter the access code you must also have the Steinberg activation manager downloaded to your computer. The e-licenser no longer works
So in the account where you registered the elicenser does it show you the 10.5 licence?
And you’re sure that you are logged in with that same account in download assistant when you enter the code?
