So, let’s go over this again and just read what I wrote carefully. I was only talking about myself. I already own SL 12 and now 13. My only point was that Steinberg distributes coupons to those who already own the app.
Besides, I also don’t understand why someone who didn’t read my post properly is getting likes for their reply. They probably didn’t read my post properly either. But whatever…

I wonder if maybe the logic for the discount code distribution has nothing to do with having prior versions of SpectraLayers, but is purely derived from ownership of another product - maybe WaveLab?
It certainly has nothing to do with a previous ownership of spectralayers and it certainly is about acquiring new users of spectralayers. But why not appreciate, that previous users are willing to upgrade early? Far from it - you’re presented a voucher and being told at checkout: “Ah, you’re a loyal customer, you get nothing!”. And it’s not the first time it is this way…
Hi Nico5
Yes, that’s right, and as I posted earlier, it was my mistake for not reading it carefully at first. It’s probably just easier for Steinberg—or requires less effort—to simply send the coupon to everyone who has Wavelab than to check whether you already have the app it’s intended for. Anyway, that’s my son’s theory, and he’s usually right about these things ![]()
the 25% code is for Wavelab customers and it cannot be used on an upgrade.
Hi @ondre,
yes, had the same yesterday.
The voucher only seems to work for a new SL Pro / Elements license.
With the SL Pro 12 to 13 update in my cart, I proceeded and was able to apply the voucher code to its entry field inside the Fastspring interface.
But it didn’t do anything, so one shouldn’t assume any stacked discounts .
Best,
Markus
