I have now upgraded to Cubase Pro 8.5. Can I upgrade my OS to El Capitain, or are there still issues?
I don’t think it is easy to find this out, and if it is obvious where I can find it I apologize…

Cubase 8.5 is El Capitan compatible. If also your plug-ins, and hardware is compatible, then you can upgrade.
You can find it in the System requirements.
