I bought the upgrade to Groove Agent 6, I have GA5 as part of Absolute 6.
Downloaded it, saved the DAC, ran cubase 15 and it asked to run the Activation Manager. The page wouldn’t load, it told me I didn’t have the licence I was trying to upgrade from. I tried to run the Activation Manager App, that wouldn’t work, said I had no licenses.
Now when I try to load Cubase it just kicks me out and says I have no licenses, I’m stuck.
I’m still signed in to the Activation Manager but it says No Licenses Found. The Download Assistant still shows all my products.
No, it’s not a big deal. I had the same problem. Log out of the activation manager, specifically from your account in it, and log in again. It’s an internet problem.
I don’t see an upgrade option to GA 6 if you own it via Absolute 6. Products in Absolute can not be upgraded separately. What you should do is buy the update to Absolute 7.
Probably because you do not have the standalone GA 5 license, outside of Absolute 6
What do you mean it kicks you out? Cubase is not affected by the GA license, except it complains if you want to load GA tracks.
What licenses do you see if you login to your mySteinberg online profile? There you should see everything you have currently licensed.
Cubase says no licence and it closes down when I run it, pretty straightforward.
I’m in my profile in Steinberg online and it says I have No products available.
It seems your point about upgrading to Absolute 7 is right, I didn’t even realise it was available. But I’m still locked out of cubase and have no products, I’m sure that shouldn’t happen just because I bought an irrelevant upgrade.
Right, logged out and then in again on Activation Manager, it showed all my products as deactivated. Activated them all and I’m back in! Yay! Thank you.
Nothing for GA6 though so it looks like that was 50 quid flushed straight down the toilet!
You cannot update GA solo if it is part of Absolute. You’ll have to buy the Absolute update instead.
Understood Johnny, can I put in to get the 50 quid refunded?
Contact Steinberg, that’s what they do..
Slight aside. Will GA6 work\integrate any better than GA5 with a Drum track in C14? For example loading GA6 instruments (Acoustic or Beat) into Drum track pads?
@Monotremata No, it is FastSpring that does the sales.
@Riojabilly get in touch with Online Shop Support, they should be able to get you a refund.
