I was a Finale user and
switched to Dorico,
I would like to upgrade to the
latest version of Dorico. How to do that???
Welcome to the forum @Joseph_Ness_Ness !
If it’s a major upgrade (5 to 6…), you have to buy it from Steinberg.net.
If it’s minor (6 to 6.2…), you can use the Steinberg Download Assistant to install it.
What version do you have?
Jesper
Note: There are upgrades, so you don’t need to buy the full version.
When did you buy your crossgrade from Finale? If it was after 15 April 2025, then you should have the latest version. (Version 6.)
As said: if you bought it before then, then you will need to pay the upgrade fee, which is around US $99.
If you already have version 6.0, then you should be able to download free updates using the Steinberg Download Assistant, or directly from Steinberg’s website.
