Upgraded from Cubase 11 to 12 successfully. Now expired?

Hi. I was eligible for the CB12 upgrade. I completed it, and used CB12. I logged in today and it says my license is expired cause the process was not complete.

I followed the steps for reactivation but this appears on my eLCC.
Cubase6

Did I misread the “Upgraded to Cubase 12 with Steinberg Licensing” part? Help please.

That just means your old license for Cubase 11 has already been used for an upgrade to 12 and can’t be used for that purpose again. But that does permit you to run Cubase 11 and below wherever the dongle is.

To activate Cubase 12 on your computer (up to 3) you need to run the Steinberg Authorization Manager on the computer you wish to authorize.

Hi. Thanks for replying.
Do you mean the Steinberg Activation Manager? I have it, it’s running. But yes, it says my computer isn’t listed. I’m not signed in yet. I imagine I should. I was hesitant to sign in at this stage cause it stated that “Signing in with a Steinberg ID will discard all offline licenses from this computer.”

Will a simple sign in solve it?

I signed in. I’m good - an idiot - but good.

Occam’s razor. Thanks for helping me sort that out.

I’m sure I’ll be back.

The transition process isn’t really obvious. Lot’s of folks here have had the exact same issue.
