I may be missing something obvious. I have just installed 11pro on a new PC. I am a voice over artist and have to tidy up gaps or apply silence between sentences etc. Working with a new recording on 11 I can add a silence, a gain or a fade process in the editor as usual. However if I attempt the same, on a sample, recorded on my old PC in 8.5 Artist, the process doesn’t work and the selected range is turned off once the process is clicked. Any ideas? thanks Andy
Wow, that is strange. The only thing I can think of is that when you copied the files from the old to new PC, they got changed to read-only or something similar occurred. Could be the Folders too.

Do you have Cubase 8.5 installed on the new machine? Can you edit the projects there?
