Upgrading different Cubase Versions with one Update

Hello,
I have the following situation:

  • one PC with Cubase 11 Artist and various Plugin-Licenses.
  • one PC with Cubase 10.5 Pro
Both have their own dongles and own Steinberg Accounts. This grew historical.
Now I want to upgrade both of them to Cubase 12 pro. Is this possible with one Upgrade? The Upgrade from 11Artist to 12Pro is the more Expensive one. If i buy that, is it possible to upgrade both computers?
I know: I can buy the cheaper upgrade (10.5pro->12pro) and install pro 12 on both PCs, but what about my VST-Plugins? Can I somehow “merge” them? Or can I buy the 11Artist->12Pro Update and import a license to the 10.5Pro PC?
In other words: do I have to use the three licenses i get when purchasing an update over the same acccount?
I hope you get my point.

Thank you and have a nice day

just

If you update or upgrade anything to Cubase 12 Pro you get three licenses (activations) in one account.

Ok, thank you for you reply.
But is it possible to use the plugins which licenses are on the USB-Dongle with one of the PCs although they were bought with another account?

If the licence is still a dongle one then you can use it on any pc as long as you plug the dongle in. It is Cubase 12 that is dongle free and can be put on three devices simultaneously

Alright, thank you.
I am a bit afraid of a possible Download-Manager/Authentification/Account/eLicenser mess though^^ on the now 11Artist-PC.
But if so I now know where to get help.
Thank you.

I was in a similar situation in having Cubase and Dorico registered on different user accounts. The solution was , to ask support to merge your two accounts into one account.
