Upgrading from AI4 to Artist 6

Hi,

I’m already using Cubase AI4 and just bought the upgrade version to Cubase Artist 6. At the same time, I’ve bought a new PC (with no Cubase versions installed) and am wondering: do I need to first install AI4 before I can install Artist 6 or do I just have to enter the AI4 activation code to be able to install the upgrade?

You need to have AI4 installed somewhere, in order to transfer the AI 4 soft e-license to a USB e-Licenser, which is necessary to download the Artist 6 license. Once you´ve done that, you can install Artist 6 without having to install AI 4 first.

Thanks, since I already wiped my old PC I guess I’ll be re-installing AI4 on the new one then :wink:
