Upgrading from Cubase 4 to Cubase 6.5 please help

I have a Cubase 4 and I am trying to upgrade it to Cubase 6.5 which I bought.

  1. I have installed the software Cubase 6.
  2. I opened eLicencer Control Center and after I typed the activation code the program is asking for: “Select licence to upgrade”. Then I tried to select the eLicenser, but then: “Currently there is no licence available which can be upgraded by your update licence. Please connect an USB-eLicenser which holds an appropriate upgradable licence, to your computer.” My eLicenser is connected to computer but nothing happens.
What should I do? Please help.

Have a look at the paper with the activation code and confirm that it really is a Cubase 6.5 upgrade from Cubase 4/5 and nothing else.

make sure you have the latest elicencer

It turned out that I have purchased the wrong upgrade. It was an upgrade from Cubase 4 Studio, but not Cubase 4 (full version) I have returned the product and got my money back. Last week I upgraded my Cubase 4 to Cubase 7 via net. Thanks everyone.
