Upgrading from LE5 to Cubase 6 - eLicenser question

Hi.

I have just bought Cubase 6.

I have LE5 on the Soft eLicenser.

In the eLicenser Control Centre, do I have to transfer this license for LE5 to the dongle eLicenser and then upgrade?

If I go ahead and enter the activation code it doesn’t give me the option to upgrade the license.

I’m using Windows XP.

thanks

highway: When I moved up to Cubase 6, all I did was register the dongle
and then started recording. I later found out it took care of Cubase Le4
also. Try it and see what happens.

Ps: I still use Cubase Le4 along with Cubase 6
and there both on my Computer still.

You did buy the correct upgrade?

to answer my own question:

yes, you have to transfer the existing e-license to the USB stick and then do the upgrade.

This is what I assumed but I couldn’t find definitive proof of this in any Steinberg material, so I was just a bit wary of doing so.

But anyways, problem solved, all installed fine n dandy. Can’t wait to get to grips with it.

Ps…I assume your question is answered now Split???

haha… yes, you can never underestimate the intelligence of the average user (not you)

I hear ya. Probably posted a few doozies of meself already.

steep learning curve. exhilarating though.
