Computer just arrived. I have to say that I am getting excellent assistance from the vst suppliers, so hopefully all will go well.
Just to report that I have finally got everything transferred across and all is running well on the new computer. It wasn’t without hiccups, but with the good help from the vst tech support guys there was nothing major.
Cubase was easy because I could simply download 8.5 from My Steinberg and it was all there in one package. Wavelab the same. I would also note that of tremendous help were the new Installation Apps such as EastWest’s Installation Center, Toontrack’s Product Manager and NI’s Native Access. These facilities made the job a breeze and I think those companies are to be congratulated on providing those facilities to their customers.
Have you updated EastWest to Play latest version? I got some issues with that. Did it work out for you?
Yes, I have the latest version of Play (5.0.0) and I have seen no problems with it.
