I would like to purchase the WL Elements 7 upgrade from WL Essential 6. I want to install it on my new laptop. Does WL E 6 have to be installed on my new machine or will the e-licenser acknowledge my registered WL E 6 license and let me activate WL Elements 7? Thanks in advance for your assistance. 
The two programs are completely independent, I have both of them installed on the same machine. To purchase the upgrade you need to register your WL6Essential on your Mysteinberg account.
With the purchase you will receive an activation code to be inserted in your eLicenser.
Anyway it is not necessary to have WL6Ess installed.
