I have a currently-uninstalled Wavelab 6 license, which resides on my e-licenser. I would like to update that to Version 12 before e-licenser de-activation on the 20th. Can I just purchase and download the v12 update through the new system, or do I need to have v6 installed? If v6 needs to be installed, I have another issue–when installing from the v6 disk, it asks for the v5 disk…which I no longer have access to (though I have both v5 and v6 serial numbers handy). Please advise…thanks…Bill
You don’t need to have WaveLab 6 installed at all.
OK–Thanks…
Buť I think you need the eLicenser software installed (preferably the latest version) when you are going to redeem the Download Access Code for the upgrade.
The eLicenser Control Center will be installed automatically together with the Download Assistant.
For the upgrade it is only required to have the USB dongle connected, because it needs to verify the existing old license.
Yes–thanks. I guess that was the question behind my question: how does the update know you have an existing, upgradable license–e-licenser or active installation? Since it’s the e-licenser, I just need the dongle and current eLicenser Control Center software–and I have both of those. I’ll get the v12 update, and authorize/license/install it that way…
