Upgrading while having active projects?

Hi

I’m on Cubase Elements, but upgrading to Artist next week.

Now, I have a few active projects I’m still working on and want to continue.
They use a few external VST’s like Addictive Drums and Amplitube.

Can I upgrade Cubase safely and continue my work when I get Artist?
Or how would I do it best (safest)?

Not 100% sure but if I remember earlier upgrades, some VST’s can report as “not found” and have to be re-assigned and then have to re-set the sounds and settings in those plugins.

You should be fine. If you want to take extra care make copies of the Projects before opening them in Elements.

Make sure all your Plugin paths in Elements are setup the same as Artist before working on any projects.
