My computer does not have DVD player, so I downloaded the latest Yamaha Steinberg USB driver from the Steinberg site.
I install the driver, but when I hook up the UR12 it says:
“You can´t install the driver because it requires a digital signature”
I have windows 7 64bits.
I tryed desabeling all digital signatures and still same problem.
Please help!
The current driver 1.9.10 uses a new signature algorithm which is directly supported by Windows 8 and Windows 10. For a Windows 7 system you need to make sure that this Windows update is installed: http://download.windowsupdate.com/d/msdownload/update/software/updt/2016/05/windows6.1-kb3125574-v4-x64_2dafb1d203c8964239af3048b5dd4b1264cd93b9.msu (Microsoft KB3125574).
same here dowloaded the update you requested and it said it wasnt applicable to my computer!
Also dowloaded Microsoft “KB2999226” update
But i have a UR 22 not a UR 12… can someone please help ive been trying to upload beats for the longest time now but i feel like its never going to happen with steinberg… Digital Signature Problem

I had the same problem, I donwloaded the Windows Update linked above but when I tried to install it a message appeared reporting that the update can’t be installed on my pc. Anyone knows what can I do?

In cases where installing several updates is not possible (due to slow connections or lack of time, etc) please refer to the catalogue site of the KB Update mentioned above and select the Update package that applies to your system architecture. For example on a Windows 7 64bit system you need to select the X64 entry: Microsoft Update Catalog
@Felipe Garcia and @Ed Doll. The given solutions do not work. I have windows 7 x64 computer. I followed the link provided first by @Ed Doll - it said that the update was not applicable to my computer. Then I followed the link supplied by @Felipe Garcia and that also gave exactly the same result. Please note that the computer is fully updated with all patches. In short…the Steinberg firmware is NOT compatible with Windows 7. Please advise.

Try to install this first.
It hopefully removes the update not applicable error so you can try those fixes.
