UR22 as preamp with turntable

Hello folks,

Got a turntable, project debut, with phono/RCA out. Rather than buying a posh preamp I’m hoping I can just use my UR22’s preamps… Is this daft? Looks like I can use (phono to 1/4 jack) line 1+2 or simply line 2 with a Y-adapter and the high impedance button.

Forget it and buy a preamp?

Will line 1 be too low for turntable?

Not worried about having to have my computer on for power etc, just want to save some pennies.

Any help would be much appreciated.

You need a turntable preamp. Turntable preamps are unique in that they implement de-emphasis of the RIAA curve.
