Hey guys,
First of all, i have a UR22mk2 and everything works fine on my windows11 PC.
Now then, im trying to set up my new UR22C.
- got TOOLS, got the driver, updated firmware via dspMix
My Problem:
If I listen to no matter what, the output is crazy distorted, even on stable mode.
In win11, I can choose between three Output devices “DAW, Voice, Music”.
DAW seems to work best, but its still distorted.
I checked the UR22C on a MAC - works fine.
I checked the UR22C on a WIN laptop - same issues.
Tried different usb ports and external powersources as well.
Im not sure, the ur22c may worked before i installed Cubase 14 Artist.
Am I missing something obvious? You guys have some ideas?
kind regards,
nils
Hi and welcome to the forum!
That is of no concern to Cubase.
- Make sure that you have chosen the Yamaha Steinberg ASIO driver under Studio/Studio Setup / Audiosystem.
- Pick your Inputs and Outputs under Studio/Audio Connections
- Make sure that your Stereo Out does not peak
- Loopback disabled?
What source are you listening to?
It would be best to add some screenshots if the problem persists

A .mp3, or .wav file playing in windows media player is distorted/cracked/bitcrushed.
Tracks on youtube via browser as well.
Ok.
It seems to be just a loudness issue.
I didnt expect the UR22C and dspMixApp in combination boost Volume that hard, compared to the UR22mk2, if the mixknob is fully turned to DAW.
wasnt that easy, but thx anyways!
