UR242 SYSTEM_THREAD_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED

Hi,

I just bought a UR242 and it gives me crashes, I’ve tried installing old drivers (including the ones came with the CD), new Yamaha USB driver from the website and everything you can imagine but it still gives a blue screen on windows 8.1.

I’m using a Focusrite VRM box and just sold my RME Babyface which I was using with the same computer so I’m pretty sure my system is stable but I have problems with this card.

My Hardware: N550JV, ASUS
CPU: GenuineIntel Intel(R) Core™ i7-4700HQ CPU @ 2.40GHz Intel586, level: 6
8 logical processors, 16 gb ram

Here’s the crashdump definition:

Bug check description: This indicates that a system thread generated an exception which the error handler did not catch.
This appears to be a typical software driver bug and is not likely to be caused by a hardware problem.

There’s another problem with the DSPmixFX software mixer the Rev-x on the master channel is always lit Blue, I cant turn it off, clicking on the blue button does not make it gray it’s always lit on the mixer. This is exactly the same problem seen in this topic:

Edit: I’ve added another picture showing the version and other details of the driver crashes. It crashed (gave bluescreen) when I uninstalled Basic FX suite or other UR drivers too.
