Hi all,
My old Pod XT failed and so I purchased a Pod XT Pro (rack version) but whereas I could connect to XT to UR44 (guitar lead stright into Lin1, 2, 3, or 4 with no noise.
I cannot find a way to connect a line out from XT Pro into UR44 Lines, without a lot of crackling noise. Meaning I cannot record Guitars.
A Guitar direct to UR44 lines in has no noise or crackling.
My line out from XT Pro to my Amp has no Noise or crackling.
Hi z or not makes no difference. All 4 IN, give the same noise.
Yet the Pod XT was fine.
Any suggestions. I’m a techy but am amateur when it comes to sound recording. Just a hobbyist. But been doing this for eons. Cubase 14. Windows 11. UR44. All software is as updated as feasible.
I’ve tried various cables and various line out ports from the Pod XT. All give noise as soon as connected to UR44 but zero if connected to any other device.
I cannot believe it’s electro static since I’ve had this setup for years and no issues before. The only change is the XT Pro. This is placed around 5 feet from all other devices. The old pod XT was on top of the UR44.
Any ideas ?
Recording dead in the water until I find a way. Unless i record direct and clean. Which I’d prefer not to do.
edit : So turning off laptop cures the issue. It’s cleearly static/electro inteference etc. ANY SUGGESTIONS ?
I cannot move the devices too far. Maybe there’s a way to screen them ?
