Hi everyone. I’m using Cubase Elements 8 with the UR44 interface.
During recording, I want to create a mix for me to listen to on “Phones1” and a mix for the artist to listen to on “Phones 2”
My mix is the same as the main two-bus mix, and I set up sends on every track going to “UR44 Mix 2” L and R.
I know how to choose the source for “Phones 2” using the Hardware Setup.
The routing works fine, and I can set two different mixes outputting to the two sets of headphones.
My problem:
I can’t get the input signal to go to “Phones 2”. It only goes to “Phones 1”.
I feel like I’ve tried everything to get the input signal to appear in both places, but I can’t figure it out. Is it even possible?
I’m using direct monitoring.
Adding a send to Mix 2 on the channel being recorded doesn’t work.
As a result, I’ve been forced to use Mix 1 for both myself and the artist. Not terrible, but also not ideal.
I hope I’ve described what I’m talking about and included enough information. I’d love to hear any tips you might have. If you have any questions about my setup, I’d happily answer them. Thank you in advance.
