ur44 with Seymour Duncan Woody HC SA-3HC noise and popcorn

Hello all!

I just purchased my UR 44 and like it.

However, i also purchased an Seymour Duncan Woody HC SA-3HC and plugged it in the HI-Z input (tried both), an i get lots of noise and popcorn. terrible sound. You de hear the guitare, but with ots of backnoise.

The Woody HC SA-3HC is a Quick-mount, passive, magnetic soundhole pickup

Effects are not active in the software.

Are these 2 supposed to work together?

Im very new to sound engennering!

My SM58 works on all channels.

Also tested Plug in my Headphone output of my Zoom H4n IN the card and also works.

Let me know if you need any more information

You have all steel strings right?

I found one review that seems to echo what you are saying…

Very disappointed with mine. It fits very neatly into the soundhole of my Tanglewood, but there is masses of electrical interference and very low signal output. Am plugging into a H&K tubemeister 36, which works nice and noise-free with my (single coiled) fender strat!

I wonder if you both have defective units, does it work ok in any other amplifier? I could not find a reviewer that had recorded with it, they were all playing live into amps. Only that one bad review out of 20 or so I saw.

Nice little unit.
