I am looking for a Steinberg audio card to replace my current audio setup. Considering closely UR44C or something similar to it.
The utmost question is whether UR44C can operate with stereo input when monitoring input signal directly through the hardware and whether this works while operating without host (usb is only connected to supply power to the device). One of my favorites scenarios to use the hardware here is to listen to my stereo synth on the main monitors while my workstation is off.
I would expect dspMixFx would keep a previously loaded configuration when the host is off but I am not sure about that, so I would be grateful for the confirmation or a disproof of that.
