UR44c not supported on MacOS 26 (Tahoe)?

Just noticed this on the Drivers page for Yamaha Steinberg. Is it an incoming disaster for my UR44C?

macOS 11 · 12 · 13 · 14 · 15 · 26* | Intel-based & Apple silicon
*Supported hardware for macOS Tahoe
IXO12 / IXO22 / UR12 / UR22 / UR22C / UR22mkII

Confusingly, after upgrade it appeared to be very broken: dspMixFx loaded fine but drivers wouldn’t load into Cubase or play in general on my Mac., Then I tested the UR22c which worked fine; then I tried the UR44c again and, after a reboot, it worked fine. Fingers crossed…

The official compatibility tests for the interfaces not listed yet (incl. the UR44C) are scheduled, and as soon as we have the results, we will update the information.
I can only ask for patience at this point.

Thanks Ed. Continuing to use my UR44-C happily with Tahoe. Though it does still grumble now and again (each MacOS patch that comes I think) that those Legacy drivers will no longer be supported one day and to contact the supplier..

Indeed, but there will be a Tahoe compatible update for the public beta driver that does not use kext anymore and does not bring up the legacy warning. That driver will become an official one eventually.

A new public beta driver compatible with macOS Tahoe has been released:

I’m using the 4.0 driver. My UR44C connects and I can use my microphones. But guitars don’t come through. I get gibberish for sound when I plug a guitar in the UR44C.

I can’t open the link:

No problem here with the link

Currently, since drivers 4.0 my UR44C (and Cubase with it) is useless - audio drops so heavily I cannot record anything anymore - I havent moved yet to MacOS26

You have to go into security mode on the mac and activate allow user management of kernel extensions from identified developers. Under startup utility. After that i could allow it under system settings - privacy and security. And voila it worked

ofc It is enabled. Plus, I spent some time with Yamaha support and they couldn’t help. Seems like from the day Yamaha took over the hardware, the driver updates are not stable and dropouts make UR44C a useless pile of junk. I am extremely disappointed as if no real drivers update arrive, I can trash the inteface and buy a new one. And I am sure it will not be Yamaha
