i just bought an ur824 i would like to know how you keep your knob output volume as i hear some hiss if i turn it to high maybe is normal.
i am using it with focal alpha 80 that have no volume level, pc level is at max

Mine is cranked all the way. It sends to Mackie Big Knob which shows 0dBu input level on mastered material. So I assume all the way up is fine.
I have heard that it is not ideal to max PC output level, but I never understood why that would matter with an interface as default audio device…
