Ur824 MIDI

Hi Guys, since the last time my problem been solved in no time can I ask one more?… how to control midi signal on the UR824?

Hi,
the MIDI signal is handled within your DAW - your audiointerface doesn’t handle MIDI separately. You probably meant something else. Can you specify your question and give some details, please?

Hi, Cubase come with tone of instrument using midi signal..on my Roland kboard and TDK drum , both use midi signal. I use a UR24 at the moment that carry midi connectors.

Hi,
MIDI signals do not carry sound themselves - they convey specific instructions for a sound generator. This sound generator can reside inside an external synthesizer or in a VSTi in Cubase (Halion, Groove Agent etc.).
If you connect a masterkeyboard with MiDI cable through your audiointerface then the signal with the instructions is passed on to your DAW (Cubase). It’s here where the MIDI signal must be assigned to a sound generator (a VST Instrument). In order to do this, you must load such an instrument (e.g. Halion) in Cubase. Please make sure that the first entry under “Routing” is set to all MIDI inputs.

Does this help?

Thank for your time.. my question is,;; can I hook a midi instrument to the UR824 ?.. via the ADAT or others

UR824 has no midi connections. You would need a midi-interface to connect your equipment to your computer. The most cost-effective way to do this is usually a usb-to-midi cable. Good luck!
