I have an iMac with OS 10.8.3 mountain lion, I purchased a UR22 and I downloaded cubase AI6.
I have two problems.
cubase is not installed on mac, it tells me “not recognized”, then I can not install the udpate of cubase.
the second is when the log entry with the UR22 feel a strong background noise and there is’ a lot of latency if I use the direct effects

Are you sure that you downloaded the correct version of Cubase AI6? When you register your license in My Steinberg you have download access to both the MAC OSX and PC Windows 7 version. If you have downloaded the MAC version, then delete it and try downloading it again.
As for the latency: maximize the buffer size settings for your computer’s sound card.
