Hello, I’'d change my studio due I’m jubilee, now I still have my old Nuendo 4 and got a Xenyx mixer.
In the moment I connect the Xenyx, my macbook retina loads the usb audio driver in the audio preferences, and Vlc, Youtube, iTunes, work as should and the audio comes in throught the usb and sounds OK. The problem is when I load Nuendo, the usb appears in audio connections an in VST configurations, but in the mixer the sound in completely distorted, I chaged the bit rate of the audio to 16 bits from 24, load the Yamaha steinberg usb driver, but the distortion keeps there.
This Nuendo 4 worked perfect until now with my motu 828 throught firewire, but not withe this usb audio driver or with yamaha dispositive, no way.
Is there anybody with a similar problem or someone than can help me.

Unfortunately, I can’t help you further. First of all, I’m aware that the Xenyx mixers apparently only support 48 kHz. Other people also have significant problems getting the Xenyx to work in any DAW. It seems that this is not a happy solution.
First, try to see if the Xenyx works with a test project at 48 kHz.
