USB connections - basic question

I’d like some advice on the best way to connect various usb devices to my laptop. sorry if this is a basic question, i’m just a bit confused about the best option.

Dell XPS 15 laptop connections:
2x USB 3.0 ports
1x USB-c 3.1 connector

My connection needs:
Tascam US-122 Mk1 audio interface (USB, needs USB power)
Arturia KeyLab Essential 61 (USB, needs USB power though an alternative is external power from a socket)
Steinberg USB key to run Cubase
Mouse
Keyboard

I currently have a 4 port USB adapter which is fine for the mouse, keyboard and Steinberg USB key but does not provide enough power for the tascam or keylab.

Can anyone suggest an elegant solution which means i can connect all the above and don’t need external power for the keyboard and won’t have latency issues with the audio interface and keylab?

Thanks!

My suggestion is that you use an AC powered USB hub. Not a hub that is powered by the USB port itself.

If your connection needs more power then always use adapter one USB hubs. I’m using Apanage USB Hub. You can find it here https://www.amazon.com/Splitter-Transfer-Charging-Individual-Switches/dp/B07DW646GY/ref=sr_1_5?ie=UTF8&qid=1548438828&sr=8-5&keywords=usb+hub

Thanks both, that’s really useful!
