I’ve been working with Synthesizer V inside Dorico, but I’m confused about the 'Save Inside Host, option. (It becomes available after using ‘Save to External File’.)
I would like to understand what actions are necessary to make sure my Dorico file always includes all my latest Synth V updates. Not sure if saving my Dorico project automatically does that, or whether an extra step is needed (clicking on Save Inside Host).
I presume the Save Inside Host option updates whatever information gets saved about the Synth V setup, inside Dorico. On the other hand, I never see the title bar in Dorico get updated with an asterisk when I do that.
Another question: I’ve noticed that Synth V doesn’t respect the solo state of other channels. For instance, if I want to hear my instrumentation but not Synth V, I end up needing to manually mute the Synth V channel, or mute the tracks within the plugin.
Not sure if I should write up that capability, (Synth V respecting solo state of other channels,) as a feature request.
