Use other VST's in Cubase

Hello,

I mostly use VST’s for my recordings. Is it possible to use a VST like ‘Voices of the Empire’ by EastWest Sounds in Cubase? Or is it neccesary that it can run in HalionSonic?

Did you install EW Opus?
If yes add an Instrument track, choose Opus and select your library.

I didnt buy anything at all. I was just wondering if it was possible to use VST’s which arent made by Steinberg or SonusScore…

Hi,

VST is an international standard that follows a specific protocol and regulations. So, yes, any VST3 will work in Cubase. The old VST2 standard is no longer supported in Cubase but these plugins works as well in most cases.
