Used Products

Hi!
I’m a new member of this forum. I don’t know how it works so I write this here.
I can’t afford the newest version of Cubase so I want to buy an older version, as Cubase 7/8/9.
First question: what - in your experience - should be the price and/or the version best for the price?
I’ve found not so many used products, the only one that seems fine to me is Cubase 7 at 130 euro.
Is it worth to do that, both for the program and the price?
Second Question: this person who sells Cubase 7 told me that it doesn’t need no “license passage” from him to me.
So he gives me the CD with Cubase and the license.
Is it right to do that, or I need an E-License key that is only “mine”?
Thank you very much.

I have no opinion about the prices of pre-owned CB software. Basically, if you are ok with the price, then go for it.

For sellers and buyers of pre-owned Cubase software. Go through the attached resale wizard for some answers. A license will definitely need to be transferred to you. Depends on what type of license the CB version is on. My opinion would be to make sure it is on a USB eLicenser and make sure that physical device with the license on it is included with the sale. I suppose some trust and risk is associated with these pre-owned software transactions. Good luck.
