User-defined Project Templates on multiple machines

Hello everyone,

With Dorico 4.0.10, I am happily using the software on my desktop iMac at home and my MacBook Pro away from home, dongle-free.

With version 4, User-defined Project Templates can be created, as described in the version history. This is great. I also am aware that the templates exist in some cryptic xml file buried in a location one probably shouldn’t enter .

So, here is my question. Is there a safe way to create a template file on one machine and have it appear on another? There isn’t an option to choose the location for the template.
Or do I have to create another version of the template on the second machine?

Thank you in advance.

You can find the templates you have saved in a folder called User Templates, which is located in %APPDATA%\Steinberg\Dorico 4 on Windows or /Users/your-username/Library/Application Support/Steinberg/Dorico 4 on macOS. You can copy that folder from one machine to the corresponding location on another one.
