User Interface Colour Options Request: Show Color For Selected Channel (MixConsole Only)

Hi,

I have found that the best visual organization is with the following options:

  • Colourize Tracks and MixConsole Channels:
    • OFF: Tracks
    • ON: Folder Tracks
    • ON: MixConsole Channels

The dilemma is with the option: Show Color For Selected Channels.

When this is on, it’s very difficult to see if a Folder Track is selected in Project View if the Folder Track is coloured.

But, I very much like this option selected for MixConsole. It would be great if this option could be turned on JUST for MixConsole Channels.

See video:

I had to make the video fast to fit it for upload. At the start, if you pause, you can see top left that I can clearly see the top folder is selected, and what they look like not selected below that.

On the right you can see however, that the mix console selected channel is a bit glaring.

Then you can see the change on the option, hard to see selected folder, MixConsole selection looks nicer and still clearly selected via the name highlight.

Now that I think about it, it would be nice if these Track/MixConsole colouring options were expanded.

1.) Separate these options for MixConsole and Project Tracks

2.) COLOUR STRENGTH PER TRACK TYPE (Tracks / FolderTracks / MixConsole Channels)

Perhaps I would colour my tracks if the Color Strength could be adjusted for them individually.

3.) Show Color For Selected Track Per Track Type (Tracks / FolderTracks / MixConsole Channels)

Known request for splitting the preferences between mix console and project window as you’re likely to want different display options between the two for the reasons you mentioned.

Thanks for affirming this one
