Hi,
Yes, it applies to Nuendo too.
I’m sorry to hear that. Are you on Nuendo 14.0.40?

Yes, I am using that version. In a way I’m wondering if I need to do some large reset. Delete registry items maybe?
I’ve uninstalled Nuendo a few times now hoping it would resolve it. I still have the problem that loading preferences takes 5+ minutes. I can no longer successfully save preferences either, it seems.
So if that version was intended to solve the problem, I suppose that means there may be no additional updates addressing this particular issue? I have no resolution. Perhaps I’m stuck with it.
Delete any input transformers, quit Cubase.
Open UserPreferences.xml and delete the blob. Save.
That doesn’t bring loading times back to normal?
What is the file size of UserPreferences.xml after you delete the blob?
I have a similar issue but the blob is much smaller and not caused by a corrupt input transformer. It’s under “controllerSetup” (see below), does anybody know what controllers it refers to?
I deleted the blob. The file was about 100mb. After I deleted the file went to 123kb. I reloaded the software, reload a preference, and the blob returns. So even opening the dropdown showing saved preferences takes about 5mins.
In this case you need to additionally delete the blob also in all your configuration files.
…\Steinberg\Cubase 15_64\Presets\Configurations
I hope this will fix it for good.
I went ahead and formally deleted my previous preference presets. It seems to working now. However, I don’t recall how this problem arised. If I’m correct, this problem occurs when you make too many changes to preference presets?
