Using a 2nd controller for cubase 14 pro

I play my MIDI sounds into my computer via an M-Audio Oxygen 49. I am trying to add my recently acquired Alesis QS8 as a secondary MIDI keyboard for input. I have copied the settings of the oxygen, and it sees the QS8, but it won’t play midi into my VSTs

Any ideas please

What kind of settings did you copy?

By default, you don’t have to make any settings; if you want to play the MIDI Notes.
