Using what seems to be way to much memory. I only have 8gb in my system. The archive for my show file is only 14gb. I think this has something to do with the media player module maybe? That’s the only different thing I’ve done recently to my show file.
Hey, the ArchiveFilesize is usually not equal to RAM needs. Start project, play with and have a look on RAM utilization. (I don’t need 8GB RAM to play a 30GB videofile)
It seems to be that adding a video to the media player in the module and setting it to play and loop causes it to use more and more memory each loop. I can reproduce here by adding a file, looping it and hitting play. In about 5 minutes the notification tells me I’m out of memory. Here’s a video
Ohh, this has been fixed in v2.1.31 I guess, isn’t?
Can you check your current version?
I’m using 2.1.30 because of a glitch that causes my project to hang. Spork said it’s fixed for next release.
It’s possible it is fixed. I’ll install and see.
… yes, the Memory Leak comes from the Media Player. It was fixed with 2.1.31
See you,
Michael.
One more question. As you know I’m 1 version back waiting for this Friday’s fix. I noticed (it may be fixed, not sure) that in my global media player the video I have loaded doesn’t work after closing and reloading. I ALWAYS have to reload the video and it works right away.
Also, with markers for looping don’t seem right. If I don’t adjust them and let the 30 second video loop it will stop at its end. If I move marker two a bit earlier it will loop just fine.
This is nearly perfect for me.
Not here…? Try again with the next version, also because…
Indeed, if marker 2 is set all to the end, it would miss cycle jump back, fixed with the next version.
