Using more than HAlion samples in Dorico

Hi,
How should i setup my score if i want to use EWQLSO or kontakt 7 in my score?
Or combine Halion/EWQLSO and kontakt 7
I’ve attached screen picture
first 4 tracks are Halion piano
Last 4 i want to be either EWQLSO or kontakt but cant get it to work - think its a routing problem

It’s impossible to say exactly what the problem might be from a screenshot, but in general, the way to ensure that you use a third party VST plug-in to play back one of your instruments is as follows:

  1. Load the VST plug-in into a new slot in the VST and MIDI panel in Play mode.
  2. If necessary, load the necessary patch or patches into the VST plug-in. Keep track of which channel/slot each sound is loaded in.
  3. In Dorico, switch to the Track Inspector panel on the left-hand side in Play mode.
  4. Click the track header for the instrument you want to route to your new plug-in in the track overview.
  5. In the Routing section of the panel, choose the appropriate VST plug-in, port, and channel.
  6. The final step is to ensure you have an appropriate expression map chosen in the Ex. map menu.

Exactly what expression map you need will depend on the patch you’re using. You may have to create your own expression map.
