Using "ramp" in tempo track = CPU spikes

Hi
I’m working on a project with a lot of tempo changes. I have certain places used ramps to accelerate or de accelerate the tempo. I think it used to work okay, but suddenly the CPU hits the red all those places, even with all VI’s disabled and audio stops. What can I do?
How can I change all the ramps to jumps instead, that apparently works much better.
Jirsak are you there???

Vis should deal with this without much problem. I would guess the problem is more likely to be with the audio being stretched in real time. You might try render in place or bounce selection on audio that is during these passages.

Certain versions of Kontakt had issues with tempo jumps in Cubase. Ramps would be even worse than jumps.

Are you using the latest version of Kontakt? The issue worked itself out a while ago.

  1. Kontakt instance, latest update of everything, all the other - around 25 - VSL running on VEPro6.
