Does anyone use Scaler 3 with Cubase. I have just started using Cubase and slowly getting to grips with it. But I’m not sure how I use it with Scaler 3 ie adding tracks.
Now scaler3 can host your VSTI its very simple , I just load Scaler3 on a Instrument track then add your VTSI inside.
It was a right pain before v3 ! unlike Logic which can host midi plugins with ease.
Thanks. I managed to work that out. How do I move the tracks from Scaler 3 into Cubase. That’s the bit I’m struggling with.
I haven’t used the Arrange window inside Scaler3 .. so not sure
I just set the MIDI out of Scaler to the MIDI In of the instrument I want:
I’ll either set the audio output to None or mute the Scaler 3 track. Then you can just record what you want from Scaler, or you can drag the notes from Scaler directly on to the instrument you want.
There are several instructional videos on how to get the most out of Scaler 3, so that may be a good option if you want to learn more about how to export MIDI, etc.

One thing I’ve noticed is that chord detection from an audio clip in Scaler 3 seems less accurate than dragging the clip into the chord track in Cubase 14/15. Has anyone else tried this?
