Using Steinberg UR 44 with Cubase Artist 8....

I’m having an issue hearing an instrument being played while Cubase Artist 8 is on.

If Cubase Artist 8 is closed, I can play an instrument and hear it through the Steinberg UR44 interface. When I click on Cubase Artist 8, there is no more sound. I can see the signal in the mixing console from the instrument as I play it but I can’t hear it.

I can also record the instrument and hear it on playback, I just can’t hear it while I’m playing.

Please advise. Thank you.

Hi.

Click the monitor button. That little icon that looks like a speaker. Goes orange/yellow when on.
